I’m a mother of two, so to be honest I did Salsa Slims to escape for an hour a week. An hour all to
myself, with music, exercise, other adults, the possibility of weight loss and enjoyment – I signed
up straight away. I tried to get a few friends to sign up with me, but they all declined because they
didn’t want to learn Salsa. But, I was determined and they were regretful. I made new friends, lost
weight and enjoyed the craic.
It’s something you can do by
yourself for yourself.
I have been trying to lose weight for a while now with no success, until I joined Salsa Slims last
September. I must say it changed my life for the better. I am full of energy and I lost 2 ½ stone in
the 10 weeks. My teacher Susan was fantastic due to her infectious enthusiasm. I can’t wait for the
next ten weeks. Where else would you have lots of fun and lose weight too. I think everyone should do
it, dance yourself fit and healthy.

I had just decided to lose weight when the leaflet for Salsa Slims came through the door. I thought it would be a
good way to lose weight, tone up and learn to dance. Our Salsa instructor Lynette made me feel very relaxed with
her fun attitude and she really motivated me to just do the dance moves and I stopped feeling self conscious and
just enjoyed myself and lost 2 stone, it was great.

I first joined Salsa Slims in January. I received the flyer in the post and thought it would be a good way to
start my weight loss without having to go out in the cold winter nights. It was great fun and something I had
never even thought of doing before. I looked forward to going every week and it wasn’t difficult either which
made it all the more fun and less chore like. I lost over two stone on the ten week programme and it has improved
so many things in my life.
